Limousine Cover Installation Guide

This installation guide is designed specifically for your Limousine Cover. Since limousines are longer and uniquely built, this guide outlines what’s included with your cover, how to prepare your vehicle, the proper way to install and remove the cover, tips to keep it clean for maximum durability, and answers to the most common questions from limousine owners.

Please note: This guide is designed specifically for limousines and is compatible with all limousine models.

What’s Included

  • 1 x Limousine Cover
  • 1 x Cable Lock Set (Cable, Key, and Lock) – Included only with Gold Shield 5L and Supreme Shield covers.
  • 1 x Storage Bag
  • 1 x Antenna Patch
  • 2 x Sets of Straps and Buckles (front and rear)

Optional Accessories

Step-by-Step Installation

  • Step 1: Find the front label tag on the cover (it may not be marked “FRONT,” but this end goes at the front). Begin at the rear of the limousine and roll the cover forward toward the hood.
  • Step 2: Center the cover and pull it down evenly across the mirrors and sides for a snug fit.
  • Step 3: Adjust the cover until it sits smooth and tight across the rear and front of the limousine.
  • Step 4: Secure the built-in straps by running them underneath the front and rear bumpers, clipping them firmly into place.

Important Warnings

  • Never cover a wet limousine.
  • Ensure the engine, exhaust, and tailpipe are completely cooled before covering.
  • Always keep windows and sun/moon roofs closed when applying the cover.
  • Do not cover a freshly painted limousine until the paint is fully cured.
  • If recently waxed, make sure the surface is completely dry before covering.
  • Do not use the cover if the limousine has a convertible top left down.
  • Avoid covering immediately after driving; allow the limousine to cool fully first.
  • After extended sun exposure, let the vehicle cool before putting on the cover.

Removing Your Limousine Cover

To remove, unclip the straps and roll the cover back from front to rear. Fold it neatly and store it in the included storage bag to keep it clean and ready for use. Proper storage reduces wrinkles, prevents damage, and extends the life of your limousine cover.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I identify the front of the cover? Look for the white tag that indicates the front. Even if it doesn’t say “FRONT,” that side should go at the front of the limousine.

  • How do I install the cable lock set? The set (included with Gold Shield 5L and Supreme Shield only) has a cable, lock, and key. Thread the cable through the grommets at the midpoint, pass it underneath the limousine, and secure it with the lock. For full instructions, see our blog post. To order an extra set, visit the product page.

  • How do I use the antenna patch? For limousines with a fixed antenna, place the cover, mark where the antenna meets, and make a small cut just large enough for it to pass through. Apply the patch around the cut to reinforce and protect against tearing. Shop for antenna patches here.

  • What are Heavy Duty Wind Straps? These optional straps add stability in windy conditions by securing at the front and rear. Order wind straps here.

  • How do I wash the limousine cover? Hand wash with mild soap and water, then air dry. For machine washing, use cold water and a mild cleaner only. Do not use bleach or softeners.
