The short version

We collect only what we need to sell you a cover and support you afterward. We never sell your personal information. You can browse the site without telling us anything, and you can ask us to delete what we have at any time.

What we collect

·Order details, your name, shipping address, email, phone and vehicle information, so we can cut, ship and support your cover.
·Payment, handled entirely by Shopify’s secure checkout and its payment processors. We never see or store your full card number.
·Account info, if you create an account: your login email and order history.
·Browsing basics, pages visited, device and browser type, collected through cookies and similar tools to keep the site working and measure what’s useful.

How we use it

·To process and deliver your order, send tracking, and handle returns or warranty claims.
·To answer your questions by phone, email or chat.
·To send you offers and product news, only if you opted in, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
·To improve the site: which pages help, which confuse, where people get stuck.

What we never do

·Sell, rent or trade your personal information. Full stop.
·Share your details with third parties for their own marketing.
·Email you promotions after you unsubscribe (transactional emails about your orders still arrive).

Who we share with (and why)

A small set of service providers touch your data solely to do their jobs for us: Shopify (checkout and hosting), shipping carriers (delivery), payment processors (charges and refunds), and our live-chat and email tools (support). Each receives only what its job requires, and none may use your information for anything else. We may also disclose information when the law genuinely requires it.

Cookies

Cookies keep your cart working, remember your vehicle selection, and tell us anonymously how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, the site still works, though your cart won’t persist between visits.

Advertising & measurement

We advertise on Google, Meta and Microsoft, and we use their measurement tools to see which ads actually lead to orders. To make that measurement accurate, we may share a hashed, irreversible version of information you already gave us, such as your email address, with those partners. Hashing turns it into a scrambled string that cannot be read or turned back into your email; it is used only to match your order to the ad you clicked.

This is measurement, not list sharing: our partners may not use the data to advertise other companies’ products to you, and we never send it in a readable form. You can opt out of personalized Google ads at adssettings.google.com, of Meta ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, and you can block analytics cookies in your browser at any time.

Your choices & rights

·Ask what we hold, email support@carcover.com and we’ll send a copy of your data.
·Correct or delete, ask and we’ll fix or erase your information, except records the law requires us to keep (like tax invoices).
·Unsubscribe, one click in the footer of any marketing email.
·California, Virginia and similar state residents: the rights above cover access, deletion and opting out of "sharing"; we honor them for everyone, not just where mandated.

Security & retention

The whole site runs over HTTPS, checkout is PCI-compliant through Shopify, and access to customer data inside our company is limited to the people who need it for support. We keep order records as long as accounting rules require, then delete or anonymize them.

Children

Our site sells vehicle covers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information; if you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes & contact
