Why drivers pick this cover

All-season armor for your travel trailer

The Gold Shield 5L is our heavy-duty, full-time outdoor cover for the Travel Trailer, and the one to buy if the trailer lives outside all year. The roof is built from five bonded layers, four of rugged Polypropylene PLUS beneath a micro-porous film, with three-layer sidewalls behind it, so blazing desert sun, driving rain, wet snow, ice and wind-blown grit all stop at the fabric instead of at your gel-coat. It is highly water-resistant yet fully breathable: trapped heat and vapour escape through the film, so you never come back to condensation, mildew, streaking or oxidation underneath. Reinforced double-line stitching, extra bar-tacks and heavy buckles hold the whole thing together season after season, zippered access panels let you reach doors and compartments without stripping the cover off, and the cut clears up to three rooftop A/C units for a clean fit.

A roof built in five layers. Five bonded layers up top, four of tough Polypropylene PLUS under a micro-porous film, block moisture, reflect heat and take the worst of the sun.

Three-layer sides. The sidewalls carry two layers of Polypropylene PLUS plus breathable film, standing up to wind-driven rain, sand and road grit.

Breathes so it never sweats. The micro-porous film lets damp air escape, so condensation, mildew, rot and oxidation never get started underneath.

Blocks 98% of dust. Fine grit stays off the gel-coat, decals and window seals it would otherwise scratch.

Extra cover where hits happen. The roof panel drops partway down the front, back and sides of the trailer for added impact protection.

Straps that follow the shape. The slip-seam strap system pulls the cover to your trailer's contours, so wind can't balloon it.

Zip-open doors. Heavy-duty zippered panels let you get inside without pulling the whole cover off.

Vents and reflective trim. Built-in vents release pressure in gusts, and reflective strips make the rig visible at night.

Cinches down tight. Adjustable front, rear and bottom straps plus elastic corners give a snug, custom fit.

Stitched to last. Double-line seams, extra bar-tacks and beefy buckles shrug off snags and wear.

Sun protection built in. The UV treatment keeps the inside cooler and slows exterior fading.

On without tools. Weighted toss bags glide the straps under the chassis, and the ladder cap and rain-gutter pads stop rubbing.

Light enough to handle. Weighs 25–40 lbs depending on size, in a clean grey finish.

Installing your travel trailer cover

5–10 minutes2 people recommended10 steps
1
Unpack flat

Open the cover on a clean driveway and release every strap and buckle.

2
Roof up, find "FRONT"

Lay it roof-panel up and find the white FRONT tag so it goes on facing the right way.

3
Fold and roll

Fold both side panels in toward the roof, then roll the whole cover from back to front like a sleeping bag.

4
Lift it up front

Lift the rolled cover onto the front of the roof. Use the trailer’s ladder or a step ladder, and mind the roof vents as you go.

5
Unroll to the rear

Walk the roll toward the back, letting the side panels drop down as you go.

6
Protect the edges

Seat the gutter protectors and ladder cap as the fabric comes down over them.

7
Center it

Square the cover on the rig before touching a single strap, even overhang at both ends.

8
Corners first

Secure the bottom corners, then work the straps and buckles along the sides to pull out the slack.

9
Toss the bag

Clip the weighted toss bag to each under-body strap and toss it across, no crawling.

10
Final tension check

Snug everything down. A properly fitted cover barely moves in light wind; re-tighten once after the first day.
