According to the statistics of the Fast & Furious franchise filmmakers, a total of 12,000 cars were used throughout the 9 movies. Up to 2,500 of them were destroyed on the racetrack by the heroic characters, equivalent to one car being wrecked every 49 seconds of screen time. However, the cars were not just objects being destroyed to serve the thrilling action scenes in the movies, but also vivid and memorable "characters". Each member of Dom Toretto's team has their own signature car model, reflecting their unique personality. And each movie has a special car corresponding to a memorable moment.

Whether you love or hate "Fast and Furious", you have to admit that this movie series is always hot whenever it hits the theaters. The formula for success is relatively similar in all the parts: classic action scenes combined with classic cars.

1. 1970 Dodge Charger

Appearing in the final moments of the first installment, Dominic Toretto (played by Vin Diesel) decides to race against Brian O'Conner (played by Paul Walker) on the race track with his 1970 Dodge Charger, which has 900 horsepower. After narrowly avoiding a collision with a freight train, the Charger crashes into a truck and flies into the air. Although audiences felt that the Dodge car's moment of demise had arrived, they were surprised to see it return in parts 4 and 5 to help Toretto successfully escape from prison.

2. Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R

In "2 Fast 2 Furious" 2003 version, Brian O'Conner appears in the opening scenes with a Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R. He gets into the car and drives it on a 4-lane race track, skillfully maneuvering the steering wheel and twin-turbo as they rhythmically jump before being interrupted by the police. The Nissan Skyline GT-R returns in the fourth installment of the series, but it's not as impressive as its first appearance.

3. Mitsubishi Eclipse

The bright green Mitsubishi Eclipse was a standout in Fast 1. Using tacky graphics, an over-the-top body kit, and equipped with neon lights that lit up the underside of the car, it is considered one of the iconic cars of the entire series.

4. Acura NSX

The Acura NSX is favored for appearing many times throughout the series, however, viewers will be most impressed with its sleek black appearance in parts 4 and 5, as the primary mode of transportation for Mia Toretto (played by Jordana Brewster).

5. Honda S2000

The Honda S2000 may not be the first name that many people think of in a racing competition, but in the world of "Fast & Furious," it seems to be a top choice. Johnny Tran (played by Rick Yune) decided to use the S2000 at Race Wars and won a very impressive victory in front of his competitors.

6. Toyota Supra Mark IV

The Toyota Supra is one of the star cars of Fast 1. O'Conner found and rescued it from a scrapyard in the city and brought it into Toretto's garage. To show his gratitude, the Supra helped O’Conner defeat a Ferrari F355.

7. Mazda RX-7 FD

The Mazda RX-7 is also a favorite car model that the director chose in many scenes of the series. In the first part, the Mazda RX-7 is the car that helps Toretto win against O'Conner. Later, in "2 Fast 2 Furious" and "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift," the RX-7 and its owner also leave memorable impressions. 8. RB-Swapped Ford Mustang 1967

In the final scene of "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift," Sean Boswell (played by Lucas Black) drives his father's 1967 Ford Mustang and encounters engine trouble. In the opening scene of "Tokyo Drift," people surely remember that Boswell drove a 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo to win a race against a Dodge Viper before crashing violently, flipping multiple times, and becoming a pile of scrap metal.

10. Chevrolet Yenko Camaro 1969

The 1969 Chevrolet Yenko Camaro was initially owned by the antagonists in "2 Fast 2 Furious", but later Brian O'Conner obtained it and used it very skillfully to evade the police before jumping onto a yacht in the latter half of the movie. However, the car used in the film was only a prop model. Currently, the Yenko Camaro is a rare and famous car model that many car enthusiasts seek to collect.

11. 1987 Buick GNX

Dominic Toretto used a 1987 Buick GNX in the oil tanker heist in Fast 4. The GNX was the last model of Buick to produce an engine using turbocharged technology, with a capacity of 3.8 liters, 245 horsepower, and a maximum torque of 355 lb-ft.

13. F-Bomb Chevrolet Camaro

"Fast & Furious" director Justin Lin has portrayed the F-Bomb Chevrolet Camaro as a 1500-horsepower beast in his film series. The final scenes of Fast 4, in which Dominic Toretto drives the F-Bomb (of course, a model) straight into the enemy, are sure to still haunt many people.

14. Ramp Car

Appearing in Fast 6, this "monster truck" made most viewers amazed by its speed and design as it knocked all the oncoming cars out of the way. The vehicle was handmade and produced in Dennis McCarthy's workshop with three seats, equipped with an engine that reaches up to 500 horsepower transmitted through a V-Drive propulsion system, allowing the driver to independently control the rear of the vehicle with the front wheels similar to the Monster Truck.

The 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport is the most impressive beauty in Fast 5. The car in the movie is actually a replica made by Mongoose Motorsports from a new Corvette and equipped with the necessary accessories to increase its off-road capability. 16. Ford GT40

In Fast 5, in addition to the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, the 1966 Ford GT40 was also one of the three target cars in the train heist. The GT40 used in the film is one of three replicas of the original car crafted by Race Car Replicas. The original GT40 was a legendary racing car designed to beat its rival, the Ferrari, and it did just that for four consecutive years from 1966 to 1969 in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. In Fast 6, when Dominic Toretto decided to test his skills at a street race in London, he used this shiny 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. The car has a long front end and a high rear spoiler. It has a GM 6.2 liter LS3 V8 engine with 430 horsepower and a GM Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission. With that kind of power, this machine can easily roar through any street.
