Eldorado often set standards of luxury vehicle of its time and that speaks volume of how iconic this vehicle is.

The 1953 Model:

Assembled in Detroit, Michigan, the two-door convertible is probably the most prized classic car of present day. Even though it didn't do very well when it came out first. Comprised 0.5% of Cadillac’s sales in 1953.

1954-1964 Models:

Cadillac had three more generations of Eldorado between 1954 and 1964. The first generation exterior design was overhauled and more concentration was put in luxury features. These Eldorados were also available in several body types, including but not limited to: two-door convertible, two-door hardtop, and four-door hardtop.

1965-1978 Models:

Three more generations of Eldorados were manufactured and sold between 1965 and 1978. Available in coupe and convertible models, later generations had standard V-8 engines, which was another breakthrough for American automotive industry.

Last Generation of Eldorado (1992-2002):

The last generation of Eldorado ran for almost ten years. 2002 marked the 50th anniversary of Cadillac Eldorado and GM announced this 50th anniversary model would be the last Eldorado and that ended the era of this remarkable line.
