The all-new, 2018 Buick Regal offers three distinct trims. And when we say distinct, we really mean it. GM could sell/market these three trims as standalone models if they wanted to. Buick is no pushover when it comes to the midsize sedan segment and this year they have reinvented the wheel to offer something for everybody in Buick Regals. The flagship trim for 2018 Buick Regal is the Regal GS, while the other two options are Sportback and TourX. Regal GS is slightly on the expensive side, however both Sportback and TourX are priced fairly.

Exterior
The flagship high-end Regal GS is a performance hatchback. The middle-tier is TourX, which offers a traditional wagon-like body. And last but not the least, the base trim, Sportback offers a hatchback style that looks more like a coupe. All three trims look quite elegant and the aero-dynamic cutout will surely turn many heads. 18-inch alloy wheels boast wider tires which looks elegant and blends nicely with the cylindrical shape of the all-new Regal.

Interior
While there are some obvious distinctions among the three seemingly different trims, overall interior of the Buick Regal leaves little room for complaints. The 7.0-inch touchscreen is the heart of the infotainment system, which is upgradable to 8.0-inch and compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Spacious interior has no shortage of luxury touch and the dual-zone automatic climate control will make sure everyone is comfortable.

Under the Hood
2018 Buck Regal GS packs quite a punch: 310-hp, 282 lb-ft torque, 3.6-liter V-6 engine. The quality of acceleration speaks volume for this performance trim. The TourX and the Sportback however, have a rather modest firepower under the hood: 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder that generates 250 horsepower.

Price
The base trim: Regal Sportback comes at a starting price of $25,900. The next step up, Regal TourX starts at $30,000. While the cream of the cream, Regal GS starts at around $40,000. With more options and packages included, expect to throw another five to ten grand on any of these sets of wheels. Given the quality craftsmanship, we think these vehicles are priced fairly.
